How to Install
Roof Vent Boot Guard
Learn how to install Roof Vent Boot Guard with our straightforward guide. Safely and quickly protect your home’s roof with this durable, one-piece molded removable cover. It’s designed to permanently eliminate the hassle of roof lead boot damage and the inefficiency of temporary solutions like chicken wire covers, roofing tar. Our vent cover effectively prevents unwanted debris from entering your vents, thanks to a protective grill and patented airflow technology that quickly expels plumbing gas.

Effortless Installation Process
Installing the Roof Vent Boot Guard is remarkably easy, thanks to intuitive design features like convenient pitch marks on the rear of the product.

Here’s how to do it:
1. Preparation:
Begin by replacing any damaged lead boot, ensuring it tightly conforms to the plumbing pipe. You might need to tap the lead boot with a hammer to achieve a cylindrical shape.
2. Setting the Guard:
Loosen the set screws located at the base of the Roof Vent Boot Guard. Position it over the lead pipe and gently tap it into place. Tighten the set screws to secure the guard around the lead stack. For 2-inch lead boots, additional screws are provided.
3. Adjusting for Roof Pitch:
The Roof Vent Boot Guard is pre-molded for standard-pitch roofs. If your roof has a steeper angle, trim the material from the rear of the guard, using the pitch marks as a guide. These marks run between 5/12″ and 8/12″.
